Philosophy at Westchester Rocks!
Camp atmosphere at is Westchester Rocks that of a highly focused, artistically supportive music academy. Young musicians develop their individual talents while learning to play as an integral and valued member of a Band!  . At Westchester Rocks the focus is on the ensemble setting, The Band! musicians must learn to work together to get results. Music problem solving strategies and techniques in a Band!  are a great foundation for  problem solving strategies in life. At the forefront are campers’ interests and abilities in any genre of music. A concert is held to highlight the week’s successes every Friday afternoon. Without fail, audiences are thrilled with what we can accomplish in that short period.  All musicians begin new learning at their own skill levels with an emphasis on the ensemble. At Westchester Rocks everyone has a voice!

more Program Details:

I intend to have a full school cirriculum at Westchester Rocks by the year 2008. I have a plan to incorparate a “music teachers co-op” into the organization. This would provide for a quarterly course selection based on popular courses,  teachers availability, and public demand. I will also use my professional musician contact list to  provide Westchester Rocks with the finest music pros around such as Gil Paris, (grammy nomanated guitarist), bob Baldwin, (Top ten on smooth jazz charts), Ron long, (bassist and composer extrodinare), Bill White, Hall and oats), and many others. This will allow Westchester Rocks to offer Masters Clinics to the general public, or pro, as well as the aspiring musician.
